Hi,
I have checked me credit score for the first time in a long time as I’m now in a position to start trying for a mortgage to find out I have a default on my account from Vodafone.
I had a phone contract with Vodafone and at the time had a capped internet usage. I received a call one day from a Vodafone employee telling me about a deal they had going and sounded good to me so I accepted but told the advisor to make sure my data would still be capped.
A month later and I receive a bill for around £300 which I phoned Vodafone straight away to resolve and was told someone would listen to the call and ring me back. No one ever rung me back and I phoned them several times to find out what was going on and still no response. I ended up giving up and heard nothing from them.
After finding out they have put a default payment on my credit check outstanding over £900 I get told by the customer care that I’m in the right and this shouldn’t of happened but as it’s gone to a debt recovery party there’s nothing they can do. Can anyone give me a clue where I stand with this and what options I have.
Many thanks
