Text of Complaint by Aditi Agrawal:

I had been using airtel for over 10 years and the same number. Everytime, I would travel out of India, Airtel will apply extra charges and send me the bill and everytime I had to follow up with them to correct the bil so that I could make the payment.

January 2019, as usually I would do before very international trip, I called up airtel customer care, enquired about the available international roaming packages for the area and requested for the pack activation.

Once I had landed in Dubai, I receive a message from airtel saying that they had increased the pack value and I had two options– either I accept the revised charges or they would discontinue my services.

I see this as clear blackmailing and when I called up airtel customer care a number of times, they misbehaved with me and clearly told me that they cannot do anything to which I clearly told them that I am not agreeing to your blackmail. I then came back to India and everytime a new operator would call me.

I was fed up of following up with the operators and I clearly told that I am not paying anything to them. Whenever we go and buy something in market, do we pay when we buy the product or are we responsible to pay the increase in price even after buying the product?

This is absolute harassment. I request for strict actions and also request a claim for my mental harassment everytime I travel international.
