It’s against the zomato’s policy that states that once you’ve order the food, either deliberately or mistakenly, and you immediately ask for it’s cancellation, you won’t be refunded the amount which is being charged.

Basically they charge you for accidentally ordering something and then requesting to cancel it.

When I ordered the food, to cancel it, I immediately called the restaurant to haul any preparation, so as to avoid any wastage.

The person at restaurant agreed and asked me to inform zomato the same. I did. Later on I contacted Zomato, to which they told that they won’t refund the amount now.

Earlier they used to refund the amount, but recently they introduced this new policy which wasn’t properly communicated.

My point is, what’s the logic behind cancelling the order if you’re not willing to refund the amount. It’s just a trick to steal our hard earned money.

Besides, they don’t have any customer call support so that consumers can’t complain and seek redressal instantly.

Their chat support is slow, generally reply after half an hour and do not resolve the issue. All the contact numbers provided on internet are false, unreachable or unresponsive.

The customer complaint handling process is extremely poor and they constantly loot customers by doing such petty acts.
