While placing an order on ZOMATO we get to select the location as detect my current location. This feature when used has pinned itself to a different location even though the address and details were well furnished.
I have placed an order 1420151279, and corrected the delivery guy even before he started. For the location set incorrectly by the app I was charged the cancellation fee for the whole food and delivery price.
The only response I get from Zomato support when tried to get to their attention about the glitch in their app is
“We would like to inform you that according to new policies of Zomato if the Order [Id : 1420151279] gets cancelled because of the wrong delivery address and due to which our rider wasn’t able to deliver the order to you, a cancellation charge equal to the order amount is charged from the user as the food was already prepared/dispatched.”
Though the address is still the same and correct address was furnished the support doesn’t acknowledge any message to validate the address.
