Text of Complaint by FARAAZ AHMAD:

The VAS (Value Added Services) which deducts fund from balance as per official statement only will get activated by consumer’s consent. But this is not true at all, these VAS services get activated on their own and deducts fund from balance. I have complained about this issue to Vodafone customer care service more than once. Recently this had happened again on my mother’s vodafone number where her balance was deducted by Rs.5 for activating Telsync Games. Regarding this issue i had chat with vodafone customer care through VI app where I was told that the refund in such cases will only be made if called within 24hrs and also stated that these services does not get activated on their own. However i got the refund of Rs.5. I checked for past VAS services and got to know that few days back two more VAS services were activated for Rs.3 and Rs.25. When I asked for the refund of these they denied. Later I made a call to customer care stating my issue at which after hearing my problem and could not give an explanation to it they kept me on hold telling that the call is being transferred to executive but no one turned up and I waited for 15min. This happened twice. I complain is against these VAS services getting activated on their own without customer’s consent, and I am sure that many vodafone users would not even be aware of it. This is cheating their customers and making money.
