Text of Complaint by Dr. Minakshi Bhattacharyya:

I am customer of tataplay from the past 15 years. However, recently for the past 15 days I am facing extreme harassment with a complaint resolution. I am a doctor and a senior citizen. With this kind of harassment from tataplay, I am extremely frustrated and therefore, I am raising this issue here. Following is the chain of events –
12th Sep – I saw no channels were coming on my tataplay. I lodged a complaint.
13th Sep – A technician came and said the set top box needed to be changed. I paid 5000 Rs. + 682 Rs (as the monthly charge) to the technician (to his google pay account). However, after he set up the new box, my subscriber id got changed. My old subscriber id was – 1010153177, new subscriber id – 1469639627
13th Sep – after the new box was set up, only free channels were coming. The technician spoke to his executives and finally paid channels came. However, recording was not working. Technician said it would be resolved by the next day
14th Sep – again the technician came and tried to resolve the issue, but the issue persisted. He said there was a server issue, and it would be resolved soon
15th Sep – Issue still not resolved. I called the technician, he said it would be resolved in one hour. However, it was not resolved
15th – 19th Sep – I waited but the issue persisted and I could not record any program
19th Sep – I booked another complaint (work order number: 1-3V08FR6L)
20th Sep – another technician came and tried to resolve the issue. But it was not resolved. He also said it would be resolved in one hour
21st Sep – No resolution
22nd Sep – tried to complain through email, but as my subscriber id got changed, i could not book a complaint
24th Sep – called the 2nd technician and asked for a senior officer’s phone number. I called the senior officer and explained the issue. He asked for both the subscriber ids and I shared those with him. After this I got a call from tataplay call center and they said a technician would come. However, no one came. (work order number: 1-3VHJQ7QN)
25th Sep – call center called again and asked about the issue. They said that a technician would come on 26th Sep (today)
26th Sep – since morning I waited for the technician, no one came. After some time, I received a call from the call center and they said the technician was calling me but he could not reach me. However, I received no call from the technician. Anyway, after speaking to the technician through the conference call with call center I gave him the direction and he said he would come in some time. Till now (9.27 PM) no one came.

I am extremely frustrated and request you to look into this issue. The technicians have made be buy a new set top box worth 5000 Rs. while the issue persists even after 14 days.
