TATA Cliq refused to return the wrong product deivered by them

Text of Complaint by Chinmay Kumar Bastia:

Sir I have ordered a Campus make Men’s Navy slides vide order no. 126074253 on 24.04.2023 through TATA Cliq. The product was delivered to me on 28.04.2023 but while I opened the delivered package the item was totally different what I order. I astonished to see that it was campus make kids sandal. Immediately, I raised a return request for the same and accordingly courier partner has been assigned to pickup the item on next day. However, the courier person refused to pick the item citing that the product is not matching and advised me to contact with customer care.

Subsequently I contacted the customer care of Tata Cliq executives and briefed the issue after which they provide me one Whatsapp number and requested to click the images all side of product, bill, package etc and send the same for early redressal of my issue and raise return request once again.

Adhering to their instruction I have clicked few picture of the product and sent to the Whatsapp no. provided. (Picture of the product attached) on 01.05.2023 and raised the return request once again. After which courier person has been appointed to pick the product on 04.05.2023 But this time also the person refuse to pick the product due to product mismatched.

Finally, I have contacted the customer care of Tata cliq (early escalation cell) today and briefed all the detail I am facing from last few days.

But is surprise to know that customer care executive bluntly rejected my request and said that that product image sent by me on whatsapp is not matching with image sent by the courier person visited my home on its 1st attempt. I am not being able to understand how this is possible because I am pretty sure the courier person did not even clicked any photo of the product on its 1st attempts then how could the image photo sent by the courier person and me is not matching. It is completely illogical. Even I also requested to customer executive to share the image sent by the courier partner but they deny by saying they are not authorised to share those pic.

In this context I like to put forth few lines.

Such unfair act of the TATA Cliq clearly harasses the genuine customer like me. I just feel like I have been cheated in a day light. TATA group of companies is a well known brand globally and diversifies in different sector Moreover, at least 2% product in every house hold in India is of TATA make/branding . The citizen of India have lots of faith & trust in your company and very well know that the customer satisfaction is one the vital part in your business which is an exemplary.
However, in my case the scenario is completely different. Instead of admitting your fault for sending the wrong product your customer executive have traduced me and rejected my request of return out rightly. In last few days how frustrated I am due to the things happened for returning my product you may never introspect.
