Text of Complaint by Santosh Kumar:

  1. On 1 June, 2021 I ordered Crucial RAM 8GB DDR4 2666 MHz CL19 Laptop Memory CT8G4SFRA266  order number: 408-1411493-0990729
  2. I Received the item on 3rd June 2021.
  3. Realizing that I have ordered wrong Item, requested for replacement for correct RAM (DDR3 in the notes to the Seller)
  4. Got notification that the Replacement Ram was shipped, when I Checked the details of the shipment on Amazon the seller has shipped the same DDR4 RAM. I immediately cancelled the shipment so that the seller can send me the correct RAM. This replacement shipment was returned back to the seller before t was delivered to me.
  5. Seller sent msg thru amazon to call, I called him first time, he picked up the call and asked me to call later, i called again, he did not respond. I texted him but he did not respond.
  6. Waiting but did not hear back on the replacement RAM I  called the Amazon customer care where the rep said that replacements are for the same item and for a different item I need to cancel the original item and return it, this i was not aware of. Amazon rep arranged a pick of the Original RAM which was picked up on June 6, 2020 and returned to the seller on June 9th. The personnel who came to pickup the item if it was correct and undamaged. Once satisfied he accepted the item and left.
  7. Waited for more than a week but no update from neither Amazon nor seller. I had a chat and subsequent call with the Amazon Customer care rep, he notified me that the item they received was different and fraud. This was a shock to me, I asked them when they were planning to update me on the status for which the Amazon customer care representative said since the seller/backend/warehouse team has declared the item received as fraud/different this is the last step in the process and they dont have any more options and I could feel the customer rep was getting irritated with my question and he mentioned that in these cases there will not be no refund. When I returned the original item, how is it my problem and demanded to speak to the manager and when the manager came online, I explained to him the situation and he mentioned that they will investigate and update me in 3 business days and said they will raise a ticket, upon asking for confirmation of the ticket he said there is no process of sending a confirmation or notification or an acknowledgement and we can refer to the ticket with the last digits of the order number. I then asked again, should I call or will you email/text/call me, the amazon manager said he will call me personally. Five days later I called the Amazon customer care representative again on June 23 2021 to check the status. To my surprise and shock the  Amazon customer care representative mentioned that there was no mention of my previous call to them and no ticket has been raised to investigate this case. I demanded to speak to the manager again and after few mins the  Amazon customer care representative mentioned that the manager has asked me to email my concerns to the seller and gave me this id buyerssupport@amazon.in
When the returned item was verified and picked up by the amazon person, that ends my responsibility otherwise many things will/might happen on the way to their warehouse/seller.
Secondly I should have been notified of my refund status, this is nothing but frauding the buyers.
This way sellers if they get angry for returning their items will declare it different/fraud and close the case without the customers knowledge is nothing but fraud.
Even after a couple of calls and text msg as in the attachment, the seller did not show interest in contacting me this shows his intention to not provide me with a refund.
This is fraud and looting of customers. I sincerely request you to kindly help me not only to get the refund but also to bring this out to the people who depend on online shopping.
Amazon has to do much more to resolve the issues rather than just giving one word answers and closing the case.
I will greatly appreciate your help in this matter.
