Dear Sir,
After calling to your complaint no. 198 repeatedly about my wrong International Data roaming bill (Data roaming was activated without my consent & request) , no action has been taken by Vodafone team . My Complaint no: 586379820 dated 5th March 2019 is yet to be resolved.
During my recent visit to Dubai from 4th Feb to 12 Feb 2019, I did not ask for any international roaming facility from the Vodafone as I was using the local no of Dubai, But surprisingly my mobile was working as i got a undesirable call on my mobile from unknown no. from Delhi & I had to pick the call to know how this call come in international roaming which is not activated on my no. On my 3rd day evening suddenly I got a sms mentioning the bill amount of data roaming . which kept me surprised as I did not opt for the international data roaming facility and why I got this SMS of Data Bill,whenever I used the social site & mails it was done when I was in wify connectivity area.
Next day I wrote a complaint mail to Vodafone customer care by mentioning all what is happening whereas my data roaming facility is off, Please check these bills are incorrect and revert back why it is happening . I got the reply of the tariff plan not the answer of my quarry. I wrote few more mails mentioning the wrong data bill where as my data roaming is not active. But no reply is received.
After few days wait for the Customer care reply when I did not get any reply, I called to your Customer care complaint no 198, where I was told by your customer care executive about activation of data roaming service plan 149 on my mobile no. Which I was never knew & which I have never requested or applied for. I protested how this facility was activated on my no as I have never asked or requested for it.
They told me this plan is activated since May 2018 when I went to Hong Kong with my wife for 6 days leisure trip and I opted a 6 days data plan. I was never told about any 149 rs plan is also included in this 7 days data plan which need to be deactivated after coming back to India.
As I don’t travel out of India frequently so I never required this international roaming plan But it is very strange this 149 plan was continued without my consent & I got to know about this plan only after when your customer care executive informed me. Also charging of extra 149 monthly in my bill by Vodafone is also shocking information as it never required by me.
On 5th March as per the customer care executive this complaint has escalated to the higher management and with in next 2 days you will get a call from Vodafone.
Since than I am following this complaint on regular basis but no action taken by your office yet,
Height of inconvenience is My data services are blocked. As I pay Vodafone bill through auto payment banking facility, I could have asked to my bank to block this facility but i did not do it and this payment which i was not suppose to pay is also debited to my credit card towards Vodafone bill on Sunday 10th March.
I believe its a clear cut case of misinformation and cheating with customers & not reply and delaying the action. My sincere request to you please look into this long pending issue and initiate the reversal of my payment against international Data roaming bill and monthly amount of Rs. 149 if charged against my telephone bill & restore my data services.
