Text of Complaint by ASMITA DESHPANDE:

I had the REDx plan activated on May 16. 2020 and I have been charged a higher rental for that on the promise that I will be receiving netflix subscription complimentary. As was expected, this never worked and after almost more than a month of haggling with vodafone customer care and all the escalations it was made clear that since I had a netflix subscription I will not be able to activate the complementary netflix on redx. THIS WAS NOT MADE CLEAR TO ME WHEN I HAD ASKED SPECIFICALLY ABOUT THIS TO THE VODAFONE AGENT WHO HAD CALLED PITCHING FOR THE REDX ACTIVATION. After further exchange on emails and vodafone not accepting their responsiblity, I decided to port out. After i actually put in a port out request, I got an email from the vodafone official that i can get a 50% concession on the bill. This email was on June 20, 2020  from your customercare id from one Ms. Sneha Sakhare and this 50% was applied only to my last bill. What about the earlier 2 months that I have been paying extra?

Now I have ported out and I have got a bill for about Rs 4069/- which includes Rs 2500/- for deactivating REDX within 6 months (this was also not told to me the first time when i had received the call for changing the plan). I have been charged approx Rs 1050/- per month on REDX since May 2020 for two months and I have had to renew my netflix subscription on my own as well since the complimentary REDX plan never worked. So I was charged Rs 1050 plus Rs 649 every month. I was happy with my earlier plan, and i had changed to this plan only because it was promised that i could save some money. all the calls should have been recorded for quality purpose with the service provider and should be available for verification. I have all the emails sent for my records as well.
MY COMPLAINT/DEMAND:
– waiver of the penalty of Rs 2500/- charged  in view of the irresponsible and inefficient service provider
– refund of the money that i have paid for 2 months on the REDX plan (Rs 1050 of plan charges for two months)
