I ordered food from a meal from a restaurant through Zomato.
We noticed that the chicken was completely undercooked and pink. As you know, consumption of raw, uncooked chicken is extremely dangerous to human health, so we called the restaurant. We were told that since we ordered through Zomato, they’d be the one to deal with this. So I tried the customer text support which fed me the same “We regret this, please order again”.
Unsatisfied with this, we tried the customer email address which was basically the same reply, but in paragraphs. Just the same generic reply- forgive, forget, trust us and order again.
The customer care numbers are not in service (trust me, I tried a dozen of them) and they do not respond responsibly to messages.
Another unsuccessful customer chat told me that I would absolutely not get a refund and it was actually against company policy to allow refunds and that my only hope was to try ordering again.
I’m thoroughly unsatisfied and would like to file a grievance due to how dangerous the matter is, and because Zomato refuses to take responsibility.
