We had placed two orders from Zomato for guests who had come from abroad.
As there children, we were unable to hear any calls, so Zomato cancelled the order.
We informed them that we will collect the order as we were unable to hear the call and confirmed the same from the representative as per attachment, but when we went to collect the food from the restaurant, the owner told us that the driver just left and that he must have eaten the food. When we called the driver, he at first said that he does not have the food and that after informing him that we visited the restaurant, he said that i ate the food. Now what policy is this where the customer pays for the food and the driver from the company eats the food
Is this some kind of joke of looting people. This is really unfair, as we had to go all the way to the restaurant even after the representative informing us that there will be no cancellation charges and we hear that the driver has eaten the food and we will have to pay for the driver who has eaten the food. Our guests had come from far and there were children. What type of a shit company does like this.really unprofessional, swiggy was hundred times better. Here they don’t even care for the customers and cheating them left right and centre. Please take some action on this as this unholy practice which is going on. Thanks
