Text of Complaint by Shreyas Panchal:

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to bring to your attention a concerning malpractice being carried out by Zomato, a leading food delivery service in India. As a vegetarian from a Brahmin family, I recently ordered veg food from Zomato and was delivered non-veg food instead. This not only goes against my dietary preferences, but is also a serious breach of trust and ethical conduct on the part of Zomato.

To add insult to injury, I was only compensated with a coupon code for Rs. 169, which is less than the amount I paid for the order. Moreover, the coupon code has an expiry date, adding to my frustration and disappointment. As someone who does not order frequently from Zomato, I strongly believe that my hard-earned money should be refunded to my account instead of a coupon code that expires in just 31 days.

Unfortunately, Zomato’s customer service is inaccessible, with all mails being auto-generated and providing a turnaround time of 72 hours. This practice only serves to frustrate and tire customers, ultimately leading them to give up and accept the inadequate compensation.

As a consumer, I feel helpless and disappointed by Zomato’s fraudulent and unprofessional behavior. While the amount in question may not be substantial, it is the principle of the matter that truly counts. I urge you to investigate this matter and hold Zomato accountable for their malicious practices.

Thank you for your attention and I look forward to a prompt resolution to this issue.

Sincerely,
Shreyas Panchal
