Text of Complaint by Aditya Dujari:

Dear Sir,

I am a long time member of Zomato and a frequent user of its services, but this relates to a very bad experience on my placed order with them, order id 2450612335.

I have placed a dinner order comprising dal, sabji and 3 kulcha.

At the very time the food was brought to our home, I found that the sabji was missing from my order and at that very instance I told the delivery boy that I can’t accept the order as an essential item is missing and we can’t eat roti without any sabji.

I was not ready to take delivery and even asked the delivery boy/customer team to take away the delivered item …as its a complete wastage for me since roti and sabji works in combination you can’t have one without either of one.

Since this was not a large order, I even cant use other accompaniments .. to fulfil my needs.

Also, I immediately raised up the issue with their customer care on my app, and they insisted me to accept the order and gave me an assurance that only once i accept the order they will be able to help me out.

Based on the trust I have developed over the years with Zomato and promise given for resolution, I accepted the order and paid the delivery boy with full amount. Even though it was of no use to me.

But to my surprise and agony, only once I paid..their customer care told me that they will only be able to refund the value of the missing item only and not for all item. I once again reiterated that the delivered item do not have any meaning for us ..and requested them to take it away and provide me with full refund…but to no avail.

Its very unfair to force customer to pay up for something for thing he has not consumed and ..for none of his fault

It’s a complete betrayal of trust …Never expected this from Zomato…

This incident has set a great bench mark in customer service resolution for a missing item…where customer is being forced to have roti without sabji..and also pay for it.

It was a nightmare experience for my family, as my children slept without having any food and I was forced to chat with customer service for almost 2 hours..

Seek full compensation from Zomato against my order and damages for harassment and compensation for ruining my family dinner…and above all depriving my children to have meal before sleeping because of their bad customer service and poor attitude.
