I ordered from cafe udipi indore on 25th may vide order #1522779795. While ordering thru the app even though my current location was scheme 54 vijay nagar it was showing kanchan baug as per the app.
I tried several times but the location was always set to be kanchan baug. So i selected kanchan baug and proceeded with the order as kanchan baug is just 900 meters from my location as per maps.
And i mentioned my whole address in the address column. When my order was packed and ready to be delivered i called the guy and told him the issue. On which he replied that it is 5kms away and i won’t deliver your order after which he disconnected the call.
Later i received a call from one of their executives telling me that i should have correctly chose my location while i tried to explain her that i tried but it was always set as kanchan baug automatically. Now i do not know whether this is a technical glitch or what but i do know one thing for sure that this is not my mistake.
It’s their app which has issue. Due to which they can not penalize me. And being a brand like zomato they should accept their mistake and refund my money instead of penalizing me. If i had any malafide intention why would i pay for the order online.
If i could choose my exact location why wouldn’t i have, the delivery charges would still be the same. I do not know whether this was done intentionally so that the delivery guy did not have to deliver or is it zomato who is looting people’s money. No matter what i want my refund because i did not get my food.
