After a satisfactory purchase of a couple of unboxed wardrobes from Zefo in 2019 and upon suggestion from a friend, I bought a 1 ton Carrier Split AC as well.

The product was advertised as unboxed, with minor scratches on the indoor and outdoor units but certified for normal performance by Zefo. Installation was done on March 7, 2020 with ‘universal’ mounting brackets rather than the original ones supplied with the unit.

I did not operate the AC normally (for over 30 minutes) until March 26, 2020 when the internal unit started leaking condensation water inside the room.

I e-mailed Zefo Customer Care (contact@gozefo.com) regarding this on March 27, 2020. The mail was promptly acknowledged, mentioning that warranty for the product was initiated and that someone would get in touch within 72 hours.

As we fast approach the end of June, the 72 hours are still ticking away. There has been zero response. I would understand the lockdown stress, the inability to find the right people – all of it. However, the absolute disregard when it comes to addressing a paying customer is simply unacceptable.

I have, of course, done several follow ups over email and on call – each time to be conveniently ignored. When I took to twitter as a last resort, I was met with a quick response, with the obvious empty assurances of service.

So far, the AC which was purchased to handle the maddening heat of summer has sat and done nothing. The season is past and the service warranty that was initiated is yet to be fulfilled.

This has so far been one of the worst post purchase services I have seen. From someone who recommended Zefo as good choice that is a little lighter on the wallet, I am sure to discourage anyone who seeks my recommendation, let alone ever choosing to purchase anything from Zefo.
