I processed a return & refund on the Zara app on June 19, 2023 of an order worth INR 10,370. Since that day, I have called their customer care number 20+ times, chat with them many times, sent DMs on Instagram & Twitter to ask for my money back. Every single time, a clueless representative with no authoritative power tells me “we’re sorry for the inconvenience, we have escalated your complaint to the relevant team, they will get back to you in 48 hours”. 20 times of talking to different people telling me the same story from the same script.
I am a female startup founder and every penny counts for me. I invested some money in May that have got me 2-3x returns. This is another INR 10k that I wanted to invest for my business. Not only has my money been withheld from me & all the opportunity cost that came with it, it is mental harassment having to deal with Zara’s customer care. I am fed up. I need my money back. It’s not a small amount.
This is going no where. I want my money back with interest payments & additional compensation for the money I have lost as opportunity cost.
