Text of Complaint by Ajay Balachandran:

When we book flight tickets via yatra.com the customer is provided a list of discounts based on Yatra’s relationship with banks. However when a discount coupon is selected and we proceed to payment Yatra modifies is convenience fee in order to nullify the discount. Convenience fee should be a fixed number and should not be modified based on payment approach or discount selected. In my case the convenience fee was modified from Rs 300 to Rs1300 to nullify the discount provided by the Banks. If this is done in co-ordination with the banks then banks should also be prosecuted for cheating customer’s.

  1. Dear Ajay. Greetings from Yatra.com! We would like to inform you that the calculation of Online Convenience Fee is an automated logic based on the ticket value and the discount applied against a booking. Hence, you may see a difference in OCF value with or without a Discount in the booking. Regards, Yatra Care
