I am currently residing in UAE. I have my 5999 rs UAE roaming pack activated on my number since Jan 2019. On the month of June Vodafone brought in a new pack called 599 iRoam Free pack which costs 599 rs per day. I used to know when my 5999 pack expires because I will be charged everytime when I use my mobile. I used to get notifications. Since this 599 pack is active(without my knowledge) I dont get any such notification. Also in My Vodafone app, it showed me my pack was valid till 30th April 2022 so I was under an impression that they have automated the renewal of this 5999 roaming plan. But I had my doubts. So I called Vodafone on 23rd June 2019 around 7:30PM indian time. Then a customer care executive explained me that they have launched this new iRoam Free for 599Rs per day and it gets auto activated after my 5999 pack expires so as to prevent the customer from getting any unnecessary bill. I was pissed off and told them that I will be getting extra bill next month and I didn’t want that. I asked them to connect to some higher official. They connected me to a floor supervisor and that person told me that everything will be corrected in the next billing cycle and 5999 pack will be activated right away. I said ok. But I received a bill of around 24,000 rs in that billing cycle. When I called customer care, they told me that I was charged 599 for each day for the total of 30 days in that cycle. I was charged 17,000 rs for that. I asked them that their floor supervisor asked me to call them if any such issue occurs. They told me someone from billing will contact me. Nobody called me for a month. On Aug 19th a lady called me and i explained her everything. she heard the whole story and told me that someone else will contact me. On August 20th I am received a bill for 38,000 rs. Then I called customer care and told them how can you give me a bill for 38,000 when my credit limit is 12,000rs. His answer was that it is applicable only in india. It is not valid in abroad. I said okay and asked him to transfer the call to his manager. He said his manager was busy and promised me that he will schedule a call with his manager. After I dropped of from the call, my number was barred. For three days I was thinking that some network issue is causing this. When I reached out to Vodafone via chat service today that my number was barred because I have an outstanding bill. I was shocked again. One day I was told that the credit limit is not valid abroad and the other day when I wanted to talk to a manager my number is getting blocked. In the chat , I was asked a request number for the request I placed via call on 23rd June. When I checked in the app, only the service request for the month of August is visible. Then i asked her, can you see any request. She told no. Then i asked her how will you validate my request even if i give you a request number when you cant see any of my request in the system. That lady told she has some issues in the system. After a while she told that she cant help me. All the people whom i have interacted with have not helped me in any way. Hope I will get justice.
