Dear Sir/Madam,
I had applied for closing the Vodafone number “9176090453” on October 23rd, 2018 at Chrompet, Vodafone store (Chennai, Tamil Nadu).
The customer care executive did not inform me anything apart from accepting the request form and proof details.
For all these three months, the number was still active and the bills were generated, which am not aware of.
On Feb 2019, someone(Nivetha) from Vodafone customer care called me to question about why the bill was not paid. Since, I had closed the number and did not use the number after October 23, 2018, I was shocked.
She mentioned that since October 2018 bill was not paid, hence, no action was taken by the Vodafone Chrompet store.
So, I paid the bill amount of October 2018 (Rs 3679) of which I used the service of Vodafone. The customer care executive (Nivetha) informed that Vodafone will waive off the bill amounts by 25th Feb 2019, for which I had not used the service of Vodafone and need not worry.
From March 2019, am getting numerous calls from Vodafone customer care for paying the due amount. Each day, am explaining the whole scenario. They check and confirm that the due amount is for the unused time and agrees that I had not used that number after I raised the connection closure request. But, they do not take any further steps and just hung up the call.
Why should I need to pay the bill for the service that I had not used and for the negligence of Vodafone customer care executives, who did not collect the due amount (or) care to notify me that I need to pay dues when submitting the connection closure.
If Vodafone can prove that I had used the respective Vodafone number for making calls/internet connection after I raised the closing request, I would gladly pay the bill.
I will not be able to pay the amount for which I did not use the service (November 2018, December 2018, January 2018 and February 2019).
Kindly close this Vodafone connection (9176090453) and do the needful.
