I was in possession of mobile number 9999990434 which I purchased almost 20 years back, due to signal related issues I changed the portability to Airtel after a while I had to leave this country for about 5 months during which I did not use my Indian number , when I came back and wanted to restore my number I was informed by Airtel that the number has been disconnected and has been returned to Vodafone, on approaching Vodafone , and a series of communication now Vodafone all of a sudden realised that the number is a premium number and asking for Rs. 2 Lacs to restore my number, this is a clear case of arm twisting, monopoly practice and Blackmail.
Why should I pay Rs 2 lacs for a number of which I am the owner for last 20 years.I shall move the consumer court if this is not resolved but under no circumstances I shall listen to the dictate of Vodafone
