As a frequent IRCTC user with over 9 years of experience, I am writing to appeal the repudiation of my Tatkal Delay Reimbursement (TDR) request for PNR number [2531249901] for travel on train [Mangala Lakshadweep Express] scheduled for January 31, 2024, at 2:30 PM.
I understand that my TDR was filed one day late on [02-02-2024]. However, I would like to bring to your attention the extenuating circumstances that led to this delay. I attempted numerous times to file the TDR within the stipulated timeframe, but unfortunately, the IRCTC server was experiencing technical difficulties and timed out repeatedly, preventing me from successfully submitting the request.
I had booked this ticket on 04th October 2023, well in advance of the travel date. However, on the day of travel, the train was delayed by more than 11 hours, causing significant inconvenience and disruption to my journey. Due to this unexpected delay and the server issues, I encountered, I was forced to purchase a new counter ticket for the next available train to reach my destination.
Considering the genuine efforts, I made to file the TDR on time and the significant delay in train arrival, I kindly request you to reconsider the repudiation of my TDR request and process the reimbursement for the inconvenience caused.
