On 15th August 2022 1050 am onwards .Paytm Account with ID name “Laichi” with a blue tick verification by Paytm initiated the transaction by sending 5 Rs and then 100 Rs .This account was
associated with the imposter who later duped my account from another Paytm id named “ received Money from “ .
When Account IDs with name like “Received money from” are allowed on Paytm ,they create an illusion of money being received into account even if money is being deducted. How can Paytm allow such fake Accounts on its platforms .
Once the fraudulent transactions were made on my Paytm id , I complained to Paytm about this Paytm ID named “Received Money from” and their association with Paytm Verified ID named “Laichi” . Paytm at the end of their investigation simply asked me to contact my bank ,where as I consider Paytm at fault for not verifying IDS on its platform and not taking action against its verified id named “Laichi” who was associated with the imposter .
The fraud Person saw our OLX advertisement and approached us for PAYTM UPI Payments and asked us to scan a QR code sent by him on whatsapp after which he deposited Rs 5 and then Rs 100 and after that started taking money out of my UPI linked Paytm with multiple transactions where he was asking us to scan QR codes on False pretext of depositing money which was not being credited but was being debited , his Account name on Paytm are “Received money from ” and a verified blue tick Paytm account by name “Laichi”. IFSC of banks where money were transferred was ICIC0DC0099, AIRP0000001,KKBK0005297
He called from the phone number 9142776614 by name Anoop Misra and his upi ids were 8989166824 .eazypay@icici and 7084985452@paytm
National Cyber complaint number for this fraud is : 3**********826
Also a Local police complain is done : 6*******45
