I have been using Reliance Jio prepaid for the last couple of months. I have a non-VoLTE handset that uses Jio4GVoice app to make and receive both calls and messages. The issue is that the app frequently disconnects from the internet and I am not able to receive calls. Even if I got connected, it disconnects frequently, even if I am on a call and I have to restart the device to get the connection back. The refuse to update the application and the last update was three years ago. The refuse to reply for my emails and no actions have been taken til date.

My suggestion is to update the app and integrate with Apple CallKit which makes it easier to receive calls. Or else they may also make it open source so that anyone who knows how to do that may be able to help.
