I have availed a loan from the Manikaran Credit & Leasing Co. Pvt. Ltd. Due to an unforeseen medical emergency, I was unable to make the repayment on the scheduled due date. However, I clearly informed the lender and assured them that the outstanding amount would be repaid on my salary credit date.
Despite this assurance, the firm has been resorting to harassment and coercive recovery practices. They have sent threatening emails not only to my official email ID but have also marked my entire office distribution list and whatsapp message also her name is Sapna Arya mob 9599187996, thereby disclosing my personal financial information to my colleagues. This has caused me severe mental stress, professional embarrassment, and reputational harm at my workplace.
Such actions are highly unethical, violate my right to privacy, and are completely against the fair practices code and RBI guidelines on recovery agents and customer confidentiality. I have never refused to pay the dues and have only requested reasonable time due to genuine medical reasons.
I am attaching copies of the emails sent by the lender for your reference and evidence. I kindly request the RBI to look into this matter and take appropriate action against the firm to prevent such harassment and misuse of recovery methods.
I seek your intervention to ensure that fair and lawful recovery practices are followed and that borrowers are not subjected to humiliation or intimidation.
