Text of Complaint by Jayprakash Patil:

Respected Sir/Madam,

I got a threatening call from Vodafone number stated above saying your cell numbers of Vodafone will be blocked and I challenge that you will not be able to do anything on this.Last time Vodafone had already discontinued the services of my cell number 9909986220 due to which I incurred potential losses of job opportunity and several other losses because I had registered that number for Banking,Insurance,Job website, shared number with my Family friends and social contacts.Initially I request the court to intervene and pay me the damages to the tune of one Lakh per month as a loss of job opportunity since stoppage of that number till date.

I have been a loyal customer to Vodafone in spite of that they discontinued services of cell number 9909986220.I had opted for the portability of that number to BSNL and Vodafone blocked my number immediately after a porting attempt.

Now today one lady threatened me from 09145724095 number saying she will block my Vodafone cell number 7767850555 a postpaid number and 7264870552 prepaid number.

Also one cell number I ported to BSNL i.e.7769933222.After porting this number I had paid the bill at Vodafone store at Udgir. Now the representative is asking me to produce a bill which I paid two years back.I told she should get the same from their Vodafone store and I can not reproduce it.How come Vodafone expect customers to keep the record for such a long period.

I pay the bills of postpaid online and before due date in spite of that look at their Customer representatives rude behavior and have started threatening customer.Since nowadays cell number is linked to all the services like Banking OTP,Aadhar OTP,Insurance alerts,in short a cell phone has become so crucial that it is a lifeline in itself and if potential SIM blockage would hamper my day today routine.I am already a cardiac patient and such kind of threatening calls/potential physical harm by Vodafone would disturb me and my family.

kindly look at the amount they are threatening Rs.360/-,so far Vodafone has looted me by call drops and loss of data i.e.I was not able to use internet due to poor service network. They claim for 4G and not able to provide 2G network.

I request the honourable court to penalize Vodafone for such calls and give me a compensation of 10 Lakhs for the stress related to the subject call/harassment meted to me.

I am attaching herewith mail communication from DDG PG DOT and my communication to vodafone.

Kindly look into this matter and advise Vodafone not to initiate any attempt of SIM blockage.

This is setting up a wrong precedence in the History of customer communication and if the court does not intervene it may cost of life of customer due to stress related with such threatening calls from Vodafone.I hope Vodafone will not be able to recover the potential loss of life of customer due to such incidences/attempts.

Thanking You,

Yours Faithfully

Jayprakash Patil

Dear Sir,

I am thankful for your initiative of call drop issue.

At the same time one more vital issue for the consumers is internet chages as per the actual usage.

I had opted for 1 Gb data on my Vodafone Sim 9909986220 however internet was not working on my Sim for @ 3 months.

I spoke to Vodafone Gujarat customer desk & prima facie they agreed to credit Rs.500/ for 2 months but subsequent customercare refused to do so.

Now for this number I didn’t get any communication & one day they stopped my services saying bills not paid.

I took strongly with Vodafone appellate & Vodafone nodal & asked them to restore my services without any delay since Vodafone has to credit to my account Rs.750/ three months amount charged for internet without providing any services.

This is disgusting that a reputed service provider like vodafone disconnects my mobile services without any communication in this era of customer delight.

Kindly look into the fact that the Telecom companies are looting consumer money for Internet services packs.

The internet charges should be prorata basis inspite of subscribing to standard/

fixed monthly rental charges.

Services for my cell not 9909986220 need to be restored at the earliest as I my cell no.is linked with, banking,PF & several other services & I am missing calls from my vital contacts.

Thanking you,

Yours Faithfully

Jayprakash Patil
