My name is Selina Layla. I got a call on 27th August at 11.56 am from this number-
+918879500153 where the calling person named Sadaf claimed to be from Hire Job Company from Madhya Pradesh and she claimed to get my profile details from online job portal and offered me freelance work to fill 500 forms in 5 days target.
Initially I have agreed for the offer and shared my Voter Id proof to the same number through WhatsApp Chat.
Later as she said I received one verification call from the same number to verify the details that I have provided and I confirmed the personal details but on the same verification call I have said that I don’t want to initiate the work on immediate basis due to some health issues and wanted to cancel the registration.
At that time they said registration has been already done and I can cancel it with the executive help.
Later I have received numerous calls and WhatsApp chats from the same number where the executive said I will receive the User ID and Password to log in as the registration has been done and I will need to log in to their official portal link, digitally sign the next page, go back and then log in again, after that I will receive the cancellation form and joining form where I will have to submit the cancellation form and share the snapshot on the same number with the executive.
When I followed her instructions and digitally sign the page, went back and logged in again, didn’t get any sort of cancellation or joining form separately. Instead of that I was getting the same agreement page to sign digitally. Which I informed her immediately where she asked for the snapshot of the page which I was getting again and again.
I sent her the snapshots and she said she will check but after that No update I have received on the same.
I have texted her on WhatsApp and called on the same number numerous times but received no update and later on she blocked my number and the number is showing as switched off now.
During this whole process the executive assured me in any way I will not have to pay any single penny to the company as I have clearly said on the verification call itself that I want to cancel the registration and didn’t start the work at all.
And now when I am calling the Hire Job Company customer care number- +91 81283 83041, those people are saying since I have signed the agreement I will need to pay 6000Rs+ GST if I don’t complete the work within given time period, those guys are being ridiculously rude to me and said do whatever you want but you will have to pay the amount.
Now I got an email as well from the company (which appeared to be in the junk mail folder) saying it’s a legal notice and they will take legal action on me for breaching contract if I don’t pay the amount.
I want to draw your attention to this and to help me out from here.
