Sir,
With reference to above mentioned subject I am using swiggy application from last 2 years. I use this application to order food 3 to 4 times a week.
I had ordered food from Swiggy on 28-05-2021 order number 105264641203 of amount Rs 1846/-. But by mistake I selected my house address instead of office address , distance between both is about 3 to 4 kms.
15 minutes after ordering the food I recognised that I have by mistakenly put my home address instead of office address.
I didn’t knew what to do now further also that order was very important to me to be received on time, as I am doing service in bank and I had ordered that food for farewell party of one of my colleague and we had to finish lunch in the lunch time itself.
I called the delivery boy for the same and told him the issue , at that time he was in the restaurant to collect my order. He firstly told that you cancel the order and again order the food at your office address. As I had no time to cancel and order the food again , I asked him weather it is possible for him to deliver my parcel at my office address and gave him office address ,he firstly agreed and told that he will call me when he will reach at that particular place. He after sometime left the restaurant to deliver my order. By that time I also explained the situation to Swiggy chat box and they also asked me my office address and told they will manage a delivery boy to deliver my order.
After 5 minutes,I received call from Swiggy stating that order given to me was cancelled and before I ask the reason phone was disconnected. I called that delivery boy several times not to cancel my order instead I will collect from you at whichever area you are, but he did not listen to me and went to restaurant and returned the food.
Now cancellation fee of Rs 1846 is charged for me and I am not getting proper justification for the same. IfI have receive refund SwiggyRs 700- stating that this is the one time exception. But I want to say that what was my mistake, if swiggy would have told me that I had to pay the cancellation charges Rs 1846/- for such a minor mistake, I had not told them regarding the same but would have told that you can deliver the food at my house only I will go and collect it from my house. I had contacted swiggy chat box for the help, as a customer.
I had to go to hotel and collect the same cold food from the hotel. Rs 1800 food costed me Rs 4000/-.
As per the policy, Swiggy has to refund me the full amount of food Rs 1846/- as the order was not cancelled by me and it was cancelled from Swiggy itself.
I have send several mails to Swiggy and also chatted through Swiggy chat box several times since last days regarding the same. But swiggy is telling they can refund only Rs 700/-. I have received refund rs 700/- instead of Rs 1846/-.
I have attached the screenshot of the bill that I was charged from the hotel for the same cold food and also invoice copy of the cancellation charges that I have been charged from Swiggy.
I request you to kindly go through the matter and refund my full remaining money Rs 1146 /- at the earliest.
I am also sharing the screen shot of my conversation with swiggy chat box.
I request you kindly go through the matter and resolve my issue at the earliest.
