Text of Complaint by Asmi Zutshi:

I am writing to file a formal complaint against Swiggy, a food delivery service, for a severe deficiency in service and failure to resolve a pressing issue.

On 17th August, 2023, I placed an order through the Swiggy platform with Order ID 175358750212. Despite receiving a confirmation of my order, it was not delivered to the specified location but, shockingly, was dropped off at an entirely different location to someone unknown to me, without my consent or authorization.

Immediately upon realizing this grave error, I attempted to seek resolution and assistance from Swiggy’s customer support. Over the course of the past 24 hours, I have sent a total of 5-6 emails detailing my situation and requesting a resolution. However, each response I received was an automated email declaring that my query had been resolved. To date, there has been no actual resolution of my issue.

Furthermore, during my initial contact with Swiggy’s customer support, the first executive I spoke to acknowledged the gravity of the situation and expressed sympathy for the inconvenience I had experienced. Additionally, the delivery partner who mishandled my order admitted to dropping the order at an undisclosed location with an unknown person.

This entire episode has left me not only deeply dissatisfied but also financially burdened, as I am yet to receive a refund for the order that was neither delivered to me nor consumed by me.

I have attached copies of the order confirmation, email correspondences, and any other relevant documents as evidence to support my complaint.

I kindly request the consumer court’s intervention in this matter to seek justice, resolution, and compensation for the inconvenience, financial loss, and emotional distress I have endured due to Swiggy’s gross negligence and inadequate customer service.

I hope for a fair and just resolution to this issue and request a swift investigation into this matter by the consumer court.
