I had placed an order in Swiggy on 4th November. My order ID- 158004607532051.
The payment amount for the order was Rs 161(cod). Later the delivery boy called me and asked to pay 400 rupees extra if I need the food parcel. He did not even reach my location till that time.
When I said that I will pay exactly the same amount mentioned on the Swiggy app which was Rs 161, he cut my call. Then immediately I got a message that my order has been cancelled.
So the order was cancelled by the delivery boy and moreover he demanded 400 extra for doorstep delivery of my order. However I got an SMS from Swiggy mentioning that I will be charged cancellation fee of 161 on my next order. I am being charged unnecessarily for the fault of delivery boy.
I contacted customer care of Swiggy as well. But they are not ready to refund my money back and saying the order was cancelled by us which is totally a lie. The order was cancelled by the delivery boy not me as he refused doorstep delivery, so why am I being charged cancellation fee?
So I reached to consumer forum for help. Their service is getting worse day by day. Kindly contact them and help to get my money back
