Sir,
Vodafone Mobile number 8879933344 was connected in my name. However during last four months, as I had gone out, I did not use the mobile number. I came back and found that my mobile number is disconnected. I therefore went to Vodafone Gallery at Kharghar on 15.1.2019 for paying the bills and activating the mobile number. The person in the Gallery, Mr Shiv Shankar, informed me that the number is disconnected / deactivated and hence I need to fill up application form. He was kind enough to help me in filling the form and asked me to pay the pending dues in my account. I paid Rs 176/- towards the pending bills as informed by him immediately. He also asked me to pay a deposit / advance of Rs 299 required for the post paid plan. This amount was also paid by me. He then informed me that he will send an email and the mobile number will be activated the next day. However the next day on 16.1.2019, I was told that I have to pay Rs 15000/- for the number. I was shocked. How can Vodafone ask me to pay Rs 15000/- for reconnecting my own number? My mobile number was suspended without giving me proper notice and without informing me the consequences on my registered email id that once the number is suspended/deactivated the same cannot be reconnected unless I pay Rs 15000/-
Subsequently I lodged complaint with Vodafone (reference numbers 239964245 given vide email dated 18.1.2019, reference number 240046480 given vide email dated 19.1.2019, reference number 240095203 given vide email dated 21.1.2019 and reference numbers 240169379 given vide email dated 22.1.2019). However Vodafone is still demanding Rs 15000/- to reconnect and restore the mobile number in my name.
Sir, as the mobile number was disconnected and deactivated without giving me proper notice and without informing me the consequences on my registered email id that once the number is suspended/deactivated the same cannot be reconnected unless I pay Rs 15000/- now that I have cleared all the pending dues in my account as informed by Vodafone representative in Kharghar Vodafone store, I humbly request you to give necessary instructions / orders to reconnect and restore the Vodafone mobile number 8879933344 in my name.
