About 11 months ago, I hired the services of URBAN COMPANY, paying Rs 5500 for deep cleaning of my house at Chennai.
During the cleaning process, while cleaning the show cases ,they used some strong chemical that completely damaged the transparency of one of the show cases that had pespecs (kind of plastic) glass.
Made repeated calls to their contractor who never turned up to even have a look at the damage done by their cleaners
After repeated follow up with their Head Office at Guru gram, they deputed their so called Carpentry Specialist (to whom I had to pay Rs 300) who later on regretted their inability to rectify it
Therefore, they advised me to arrange repair through some local carpenter with reimbursement limited to Rs 10000 max.BUT WITH THE STRICT STIPULATION THAT I SHOULD SUBMIT A GST BILL FROM MY CARPENTER
I pleaded with them that I am an 80 years old handicapped person and the carpenters that I have are not GST registered , they may deduct GST amount from Rs 10000 and reimburse me the balance amount
But they refuse to budge quoting strict company policy and the executive (Rahul) refused to get repair done through their carpenters /give name of their senior to speak to.
