Zomato is yet another time in the headlines for its worst customer care help and worst chat service
I ordered food through Zomato and paid using UPA , however the payment page showed an error message , “Payment Failed ” So i re-ordered it assuming the payment was really failed . Again this time i used UPA and the payment failed and that was throw on the screen . 3rd time i used Paytm as an option of payment and then the order was successful .
I went to my order history and to my surprise i see that last 2 order ( which the payment showed as failed were successfully placed ) so i wanted to raise issue with the customer care however the chat executives were not available and were taking long time to address. I went ahead and cancelled the order for my self and to my surprise they charged me 150 bucks as a Cancellation fee without even giving my food to me . the entire bill was for 150 and they charged the same .
It was not at all my fault in this case , Zomato is not even bothered to read my emails or chat messages and they just copy paste the templates which they have handy .
Now i lost my money and food . This is such a painful thing as 150 is a big amount for a lower middle class person.
Zomato lied that the food was prepared at the restaurant and was almost out for delivery , I personally went there and checked and nothing was prepared nor dispatched .This is really insane from these people.
I need my amount back .
