Text of Complaint by Shruti Malik:

Zomato have charged Rs.1340.17 from my account. This order amount was never there but amount was deducted from my account. So many conversations through mail and chat but they are just telling me that they will contact but no response.

The trail of mails is as follows

I had ordered for 6 executive thalis from Pind Balluchi.

There are 2 deductions of Rs. 1340.17 and  Rs.1143.76 against my order on 12.04.2021.My statement for both deductions show remarks as PRCR/ZOMATO/110019.
Kindly refund my amount of Rs.1340.17 as soon as possible.

We acknowledge your concern; we are quite apologetic for the experience. We have checked the details and found that the transaction for your order with Order id:3763718429, got failed and hence, the order could not be placed.
We are sorry about the bad experience you had with your Zomato order. We understand that it has caused you a lot of trouble.
The refund is auto-initiated in such an event and it takes up to 5-7 working days  for the amount to reflect in your source account from the date of transaction. Please wait for the stipulated time and in case you still don’t receive it, we would request you to get in touch with your bank customer care along with your transaction ID.

We are quite apologetic for the inconvenience you have faced. We have checked the details and found that the transaction for your order with PIND BALLUCHI with Order id : 3763718429 got failed and hence, the order could not be placed.
The refund is auto-initiated in such an event and it takes 5-7 working days for the amount to reflect in your source account from the date of transaction(excluding non-banking days). Since the stipulated time is already over and you have not received the refund, we would request you to get in touch with your source account. Please remember that you will have to call your bank’s customer care center and not visit the branch for this update. Some nationalized banks may take more time than normal to credit the amount. If your bank is unable to locate the refund, please dispute the transaction as ‘refund not processed’. At that time, they will see a pending refund and will follow the path back to our payment processor to locate the refund
At Zomato, our greatest desire is to ensure our customers are satisfied. We will work on your feedback to make sure such instances are not get repeated in the future.
