Text of Complaint by Pankaja Kopulkar:

I placed an order for OnePlus 7T pro at Amazon.in on 1st December 2020 A delivery guy came to deliver a package from Delhivery courier services on 3rd December 2020 around 11.30 am I gave him OTP and took the parcel and immediately opened the package in front of him which was from Amazon, but there was a perfume inside instead of Phone.
So I immediately talked to the delivery guy he called his superior immediately and asked me to call Amazon customer service.
So I called Amazon customer service and they escalated this issue informed me I’ll get an investigation call from the local delivery team within two-three days but upon daily follow up I was told by the customer service team that I’ve to wait for 5 days and the resolution will be provided till 9th December 2020.
So I waited patiently but simultaneously I posted the issue on social media that is Instagram and Twitter. Upon which I was asked to fill a form with relevant information and I filled it I followed all the steps I was asked to follow.
On 8th December 2020, I got a call from the Delhivery investigation team, I was asked few questions such as if the item’s box was broken upon opening and was there any damage to the box? I answered all of the questions.
On 9th December 2020 at 3.41 pm, I received an email from Amazon stating the product was delivered to me in an intact condition which is not true. Because I have received perfume instead of Rs.38999 One plus 7t pro.
After that, I called Amazon customer service they denied me any help as the issue was forwarded to the social media team and on Twitter, upon raising this issue again I received three emails stating the same thing that “no return or replacement can be made as the intact product is delivered “.
This is not true. so I contacted the Delhivery Investigation team but according to them the investigation is still going on and they have taken the delivery guy’s statement and I’ll get the refund from Amazon but upon reaching out to Amazon through emails, I’ve been told the same thing again and again that the no further assistance will be provided to me and every time different guy responds to my emails and my request of the reinvestigation is also not entertained. from placing an order to delivery of the product the responsibility is of Amazon as it is an intermediate but Amazon is declining basic assistance also no prior instructions were provided with respect to “verification and precautions to take before accepting the package” especially when it comprises a product of Rs. 38999.

and as the whole communication regarding the same customer(me) is handled by different people there is no flow and consistency to the communication this is a huge flaw.

it is sad that even after being true and an old customer of Amazon my requests are not entertained even if the witness is the delivery guy itself.

For more reference, I’ve attached the video/pictures of the box that I received.
I’ve been a victim of fraud by Amazon and now any assistance is denied to me.
