Text of Complaint by Rajanikhanth Iyer:

I have an RBL Bank credit card and have used it during needy times. I was promptly repaying for a few months. Unfortunately, due to loss of job and financial crises I could not make any payments. I was getting calls everyday and the recovery agents started coming home and harassing my wife and my small baby. I was forced to vacate the house by my owner because of these agents. Now they have been calling my relatives and friends asking them to pay on my behalf by saying that I have given their reference which is not true.

It is illegal to harass my friends and relatives to collect the money. Even though I told them that I am willing to settle it they did not get back to me. Suddenly, they came back after a couple of months and ask me to settle it immediately which is not practical. I have also sent them mails for settlement but no use. They have abused my friends and relatives with vulgar words. They are all very scared and have been calling me to find out what was happening. What right do they have to call them and hold them responsible for the money that I have to pay? They have put all of us through mental trauma. They call about 100 times a day when I am at work and it is not possible to receive any calls at work unless on break. They say that since I didn’t receive their calls they called my friends and relatives. Moreover, they are not even from the bank. They are from recovery agencies. RBI regulations say that they cannot harass but they are doing it. Please take action against them.
