Text of Complaint by Deepti Ojha:

I ordered food from Zomato on 14/5/2019 which I do received by the delivery guy Hareram Yadav. The food was for Cash on Delivery.

But at the time of delivery, the delivery guy asked to pay online as if he receives any order in cash then he won’t be able to deliver anymore order on that day. We tried contacting Zomato to consult this but they don’t have any number to contact them immediately. So,out of pity, I transferred the order amount to his account (the receipt of it is attached here). The matter I thought was over.

But at the time of my next order I saw that Zomato is charging me penalty for the last order saying that I failed to take the delivery for which I paid the delivery guy online.

On contacting zomato via chat as they neither provide any contact number nor they do call back, they without digging into the issue they just told me that its my fault that I didn’t take the food inspite of telling them n number of times that I have received & paid your guy online.

After long try to resolve this matter with Zomato which I failed, I am filing the complaint here.

The order number on Zomato is #1351766065 from Royal Darbar-Restaurant & Banquet, placed on 14th May at 08:19 P.M.
