Text of Complaint by Sonali Shankar:

This is the first time I am coming across such a form of recklessness from a banking app. The issue took place on 7th December when I was paying an amount of Rs. 360 to an Uber driver directly to his paytm wallet. While making the transaction due to some network error the transaction timed out and I was asked if I  wished to cancel the transaction for which i selected yes and was shown that the transaction is cancelled. So i made the transaction of Rs. 360 again and this time received the confirmation page.

Later on checking my passbook I saw that the amount of Rs. 360 has been deducted twice. This means that the earlier transaction of Rs. 360 that I had cancelled went to the receiver in spite of me clearly cancelling the transaction.

I have sent multiple mails and complaints to paytm but nothing has been done about it. The worst are their customer care executives because they refused to understand the issue and one of them had the audacity to cut the phone in the middlm while I was still talking. I have still not received a solution for this!
