This is to report a shocking and very unprofessional incident with your Vodafone staff.
I had requested for international roaming to be activated on my number in March 2018 only for fifteen days as per the available plans. Post my travel, I had requested for deactivation of the international roaming via SMS as well as via the customer care support numbers.
In spite of requesting for closure of this international plan, every month I was religiously billed with the international roaming charges along with the additional tax too being added. I have attached an excel sheet of the additional payments made to Vodafone for this unexplainable error.
This incident came to light to me 2 days back when I received a call from your Vodafone customer official asking me the reason for my number being inactive for months. From the conversation, I understood that Vodafone is still charging me an international roaming fare even though I had strictly requested for the plan to be terminated and in spite of the fact that Vodafone records showed that my number is no longer being used hence without any doubt is not in “international roaming” any longer.
I also spoke to the Vodafone customer care about the late fee charge applied on number in the last month’s bill. It was due to a server error which did not allow me to pay via debit, credit or net banking that caused the delay in payment. Ultimately the bill was payed via Paytm.
The following are the calls received from Vodafone which were surprisingly very unprofessional:
- 2nd Jan 2019 – The entire happening was explained to the Vodafone customer centre and I was assured a call back with details of all the additional charges being billed against my number. There was no revert.
- 4th Jan 2019 -Received a call from Bhavna. She had not received any background about the case that was supposed to be recorded on your systems so that it could be addressed. However sadly Vodafone had not even recorded my issue on their systems. I requested to speak to a senior after which I was assured that I would receive a call back since ALL the seniors had gone for lunch. No revert again
- 5th Jan 2019 – Received a call again and the official informed me that they have no complaint registered in their systems against my number. In fact he mentioned that the last call they have registered with them was on the 28th of Dec 2018. With that information, he disconnected the call whilst I was speaking. In 15 minutes, I again received a call from Bhavna and the moment I reminded her that we had spoken earlier and I was waiting for her revert, she too disconnected the call!
Is Vodafone thriving on the money made by cheating their customers?
I need a refund of the entire additional charges applied to my number as compiled in the attached sheet. Also I want action to be taken against the respected people who called me from Vodafone customer care with such a “happy to help” attitude.
