I ordered chicken tandoori on 22 Apr 19 at arnd 2145 hrs at Karwar through zomato. In live tracking it showed my food is being prepared and the delivery guy Mr Ajay will get my order. So i was waiting for it. At arnd 2230 hrs when i did not get any call i checked and saw that my order is still on the way but the delivery guy was near the restaurant only. So i called him up to confirm the status. He said my order has been cancelled from the office as it is more than 5kms for delivery. (it is 6.5km to be exact). I did not get any intimation of cancellation and my status for order was still on the way so i had no clue. Then i talked with the customer care guy who tried his level best to help me by contacting the delivery guy. Who later said he had cancelled the order. This is really unprofessional of the zomato team. Had i been aware of this i would have looked for some other option. But it was late and i had to sleep empty stomach. I would like to put up a strong case against the zomato team for such unprofessional behaviour and the inconvenience caused to me. Strict action and penalty should be given to zomato.
