I have purchased a sunscreen spray from Amazon.in with order I’d 171-2536736-5276328 at a price of Rs.1595, which was delivered to me on 09 Jan 2021. To my surprise, the product has a manufacturing date of Nov 2018 and is expiring in Nov 2021.
When I reached out the Amazon team that it has a 2 year old manufacturing date, I was turned down by their executives saying that its expiry is in 10 months and nothing can be done and that the product is non returnable, which is clearly mentioned in the return policy for the product. But no where in the product description it is mentioned that a product which has a shelf life of 3 years is being sold in the name of online shopping just 10 months before its expiry at a whopping price! The consumers are being befooled and when I am trying to reach out to the Amazon team no one is listening to me as the product has still 10 months left to get expired! I request you to kindly look into this as being a consumer, if I had to purchase such a high priced product from the market in person I would never purchase a 2 year old packing. I request you to look into this so that an appropriate action is taken.
