I had taken two Ola rides on 18th April 2023 and 19th April 2023, the fares for which were Rs.209/- and Rs.240/- respectively. The amounts were paid online. Even my bank statement confirm the payments were made to Ola.
The fare for Rs.209/- was paid online. However, while paying the second fare of Rs.240/-, I was unable to pay via the app as it wasn’t functioning properly, as my ride ended at 3:30AM, the driver asked me to pay him directly on his Google pay number as he saw I was unable to pay via the app.
But infact the next morning, Ola started showing this amount as outstanding which was not the case, and hence I wasn’t able to use the app to book new rides.
The only option on the app interface to click was the “Ola Money” option and in order to access the app, I had to forcibly click on the OlaMoney option and hence the “wrongly shown outstanding amount of Rs.240/-” was paid from OlaMoney Wallet. This is a new innovative scam happening with many many people using their app for booking cabs.
Please note that the amounts have been of two successive dates which were paid by me accordingly. Now it is clear that there isn’t any amount due, but I’m receiving daily harassment calls from Ola, which please note is affecting my mental peace and causing nuisance. I receive these harassing calls daily which is bad in law and not appreciated and has to stop, but is still continues.
I had written several emails to Ola in which I’ve shared the bank statement from my ICICI Bank to prove that the payment was done. However, Ola is still showing the amount of Rs.240/- as outstanding and calls from multiple numbers throughout the day from morning 9am till 630pm.
