Respected Sir/Madam,
This is Ajay Vikram Ramamoorthy from Chennai.
On 27 July 2021, I ordered Royal Chef 15 Pcs Snack Maker sold by: Khodiyar Plastic Rajkot DS through Napptol. But Napptol had sent me the wrong product. They sent Nita Kitchenware product. And moreoover when I received the product, the seal was already broken, the product was damaged & also there was some rice flour inside. It’s very clear that Napptol had sent me the wrong product, damaged product as well as used product. Somebody has used it & found the product was defective & so they had returned it back to Napptol. And Napptol had simply packed that & shipped it to me. On the day of receiving the product itself, I had informed to Napptol Customer Support that they had shipped me the wrong product, defective product & used product. Napptol also agreed that it was their mistake. And initially some Customer agent spoke to me in Hindi & they said that they have created a ticket & that I will receive a call back from Napptol. But everytime, when I raise the complaint with Napptol they say that I will receive a call back & then on 11 Aug 2021, I received a message that I have to send the item to Delhi address. Then I managed to reach the Napptol Tamil Customer Service Team. I contacted a lady Customer agent & she promised me that I will be getting a Voucher for rs 500 in my account within 24 hours. Then the Voucher Team agent called back & said that he cannot provide me the Voucher because the Warranty if over for the said item. And he moved the ticket resolved status. I contacted Mr Hari, a Customer agent said that he will create a ticket & that I will get a call back from Napptol. Hari acknowledged that Napptol had sent me the wrong product, defective product & used product. He assured me that the Voucher Team agent will definitely help me this time. But again the Voucher Team agent refused to provide me the Voucher by saying the warranty is over for the said product. When I questioned the Napptol Voucher Team Agent that how can Napptol say that the warranty over when they have shipped me the wrong product. For example, the Customer orders an LG or Samsung Product & Napptol sends a local product named Nita Kitchenware how can Napptol say that the warranty is over when the Customer has not even received the correct product. For that the Napptol said that issue is resolved & he hung up the phone. Then I called Napptol for the last time because I wanted to given Napptol one last chance. This time Mr Aakash agreed that Napptol had sent me the wrong product, defective product & used product & apologised for what happened & he assured me that I will get a call back from Napptol & that I will definitely get the rs 500 Voucher within 24 hours. But again the Napptol Voucher agent called back & said that he had already refused to give the Voucher because the warranty is over for the said product. And he hung up even while I was speaking. I warned Napptol that I will complain to the Economic offences wing & the Consumer Court & Consumer Forum about Napptol & they will impose a fine of rs 10 Lakhs or 2 months imprisonment. If Napptol does pay the fine, it will be rs 50 Lakhs or 6 months imprisonment if they are found to be at fault. And in my case, it is very clear that Napptol had sent the wrong product, defective product & used product. But still the stupid agent said that he cannot provide voucher because the warranty is over for the said product.
Request the authorities to look into this issue at the earliest.
