Text of Complaint by Saish Karekar:

I wanted to buy a touring seat for my bike. I called the Bandra Royal Enfield showroom to ask for it. I was informed that I will have to buy an entire set of Rs 6000/- which is not necessary as I already have a pillion seat. I spoke to the customer care about this and was informed that is not true and I can place an order for single seat which costs Rs 3950/-. I asked the customer care to raise a complaint about the misleading information and was told to coordinate with the Bandra showroom personel. The customer care Attendant was very rude and was not ready to listen to my complaint. I was able to place an order for the single seat from the Worli dealership. Unnecessary sale of a product is an unethical business practice even that is being done aggressively as I was told I will HAVE to buy a set. I was very disappointed and distressed about this.

Note: The official website of Royal Enfield shows the rate at Rs 2640/-.

My request is prohibition of such practices against customers.

Efficient and polite customer service with complete clarity of the charges levied for service given whether in the showroom or on the call via customer care.
