I ordered a food from Burger King using Swiggy on 25th close to midnight and it was supposed to be delivered in 20mins as per what was advertised. The ORDER #165522227994, when I saw that the order was still being prepared for more than the it should and even the delivery executive was waiting at the Burger King outlet. The time which should be reduced with time, was being increased and decreased instead. I tried contacting Burger King and Delivery executive but none of them were answering the calls.
This is when I decided to seek help from Swiggy and requested them to cancel my order. It said even if I cancel my order the money won’t be return and I understand that the have a policy that you can cancel the order in a minute and get the refund. But post this it cannot be refunded, in my scenario it was not the case of change of mind. It was Burger King or Delivery executive was at fault and I don’t expect ro be penalized for this.
I initiated a chat with Avinash, name of the chat handler who made th scenario so ugly that I ended my filing complaint here. This guy made me wait again and again with no reason but contacting the delivery executive when he and Burger King were not responding to the calls. But Avinash was keep on placing me hold and asking me to wait meanwhile he contacts the delivery executive. I requested the cancellation but he did not listen to me. Rathe he was trying to contact delivery executive. Finally when he could not establish the contact with delivery executive he decided to the order rearranged from other outlet which I had to say no because I had already invested almost an hour by then. Moreover this guys Avinash was not ready to reply in time that I could hold my patience and anger. I asked for compensation due to the whole experience I had and had to bear the unprofessionalism. He denied to share the name of his supervisor.
