On 22nd December 2018, I had initiated international roaming services starting 23rd December to 31st December 2018 for Thailand.
I reached Bangkok on 23rd morning and found roaming services not active.
I did re-start of my phone multiple times, switched SIM slots even tried to select network manually but for all available networks, I got message for every available network (including TrueMove) that “Your SIM does not allow a connection to this network”
Helplessly have contacted Vodafone Chat representative who failed to resolve the problem and registered complaints 502239502 with assurance that it would be resolved by EOD and I would receive email confirmation as well.
EOD gone next day I again contacted, this time I was given another time of 24hrs by 1 pm of 24th December 2018. Even EOD of 24th also gone. I didn’t receive any communication through mail. Then now got response through Chat executive that concern technical team is not giving response.
For all this I have been suffering for 3 days and not able to do any work for which I has activated Roaming services. Your Chat representatives just kept giving me another day timeline for resolution.
Finally, my International Roaming Services has been activated on 26th after my complaints 502239502 and consistently follow up through Chats.
Not only this, International Roaming was again not available on 29th December for more than 2 hrs. I had registered a complaint 503478034.
I tried to contact Vodafone through email and got stupid response that Vodafone does not guarantee for the continuous, ubiquitous and uninterrupted coverage or availability of the Services in all time and at all places.
Why this was not informed me while I placed request for International Roaming activation and IR Pack of Rs. 3999 for 10 Days which I was actually not provided.
Not only this, I was harassed on 28th December by below SMS that
“Alert! You have used 100% of your credit limit of Rs. 5600 till date Your current outstanding is Rs. 7182. Your services will be stopped soon. To enjoy uninterrupted services, manage credit limit & clear all dues.”
Before above alert, Vodafone has sent two SMS on 26th and 29th December to assured me to use the phone freely.
“Now enjoy Truly UNLIMITED FREE data and calls while roaming in Thailand! So use your phone freely without holding back your usage. Happy to helpin a click!”
I had switched from Airtel long ago to Vodafone to get better services but above incident has broken the trust and have forced me to look at switching over from Vodafone forever.
Please ensure I should not be charged for Services which was neither rendered nor attempted to resolve.
