Date of the incident : 6th August, 2023
Order ID 174410410810
The order was placed on 6th august, at 8:50 pm, Due to weekend rush, the ETA for the order was showing 84 mins.
Even after 45 mins the order was not picked up so we called the restaurant, who informed the order is ready to be picked up from the past 15 mins
Now starts the real harassment by the Swiggy customer care executives. By now its already 9:38 pm when we contacted the Swiggy customer care via chat, and asked for an update.
There was still no delivery executive, assigned and we were asked to wait, Now the executive says the ETA was 120 mins ?? This was a serious lie, they were clearly fabricating facts, The initial eta was 84 mins
The delivery executive was assigned at 10:20 pm, which is after 1 hour, 30 mins.
We asked for a cancellation as by the time the order would get delivered it would be 11pm,
We were told a 100% cancellation fee would be charged as we are cancelling the order.
what kind of service is this ? when the fault is clearly theirs, Delivering cold food after 2 hours, i do not want to accept it, after numerous requests they cancelled the order but charged a cancellation fee of 290 rupees.
I am not willing to pay this, please help.
this is unfair trade practice followed by swiggy in the name of cancellation fee
