I have placed order on Zomato for Burger King and faced 3 issues.
Firstly, I was charged extra than the original bill amount for my order, even though the delivery was supposed to be free for me. This came as a surprise to me, and I believe it is unfair to charge me extra when the delivery was supposed to be free. I still have the original bill with me. And charging anything above the restaurant charges is not acceptable and unfair trade practice.
Secondly, I was disappointed with the quality of the food items delivered to me. There was a spillage of the food items, and some of the items were not properly packaged. This led to a mess in the packaging and compromised the quality of the food. I have raised the complaint regarding the same in helpline and to my astonishment without having a word with me Zomato chat refunded Rs 50 credit which is equivalent to only 10% of the total bill.
Lastly, the delivery was delayed, and I had to wait longer than expected to receive my order. This caused inconvenience and frustration on my part, especially since I had made plans around the expected delivery time. Being a gold member I’m entitled for on time delivery and this delivery took more than 1hour when it was only burgers and restaurant generally takes 5-10 mins in preparing the order.
