Text of Complaint by Sridevi Somanchi:

I have ordered certain food items from Adyar Anand Bhavan on December 11, 2023 for delivery at Coral 5E, Olympia Opaline, Navallur, OMR, Chennai , the landmark being opp AGS Mall.
The bill was paid in advance through Gpay at 2.42 pm.
At 14.43, I received a message from TM=Swiggy that A2B-Adyar Anand Bhavan had received my Swiggy ordern no. 161255526734776.
I received a phone call from number 02235246905 at 1508 hrs from the delivery boy who spoke only in Tamil. Eventhough I said, I do not know tamil, he did not put down the call but went on speaking for 4m 15s
I was waiting for the food.
At 1528 hrs, I received another message that the order had been cancelled and the entire bill amount of Rs 607 was charge as cancellation charges.
I was shocked and entered into AI chat with Swiggy. I received a reply that the order was cancelled by me itself and I was advised to reach their customer support. I have sent a mail to them. Very surprisingly, I have a reply from them that as the cancellation request was raised within 1 minute of the order being placed, they were not able to make any monetary adjustments.
I need certain clarifications.
1 I paid the amount at 14.42 hrs.
2 I have received the message confirming my order at 1443 hrs.
3 I received a call from the delivery boy at 1508 hrs.
4 The cancellation message was received at 1528 hours.
Had I cancelled the order, what was the call I received at 1508 hrs meant for. If I had cancelled the order one minute of the order being placed, then why did it take 45 minutes to communicate this to me.
Please show me the proof of my cancellation request. There must be some table created in your system’s server. Else, any voice recording.
Please refund the order amount immediately because I have not cancelled the order. Otherwise I will approach the consumer redressal forum.
