I encountered a loan provider app a few weeks ago, out of curiosity, I filled out my contact information and submitted the application. After a few days, I received a threatening message from an unknown number, +92 316 5483742 (from Pakistan), stating that if I don’t pay Rs. 3500,, they will send edited explicit photos of me to my contact list. They claimed to have hacked my phone through that application. I’m only 23 years old and still pursuing my education. My family’s financial situation is not good, making it impossible for me to pay such a large amount. I tried to ignore the threats and informed them that I’m a student, warning them about a potential police complaint if they continue to message me. However, since yesterday, some of my contacts have received those edited photos, and the hacker is demanding money again. I’m at a loss for what to do. Please, I need help.
